Let's taste something homemade

We will start our gastronomical journey by tasting a piece of home-made pies and traditional coffee at a small- hidden in the narrow streets of the old town-unique small cafe.

Following,we will visit a small shop of natural products in order to taste some Cretan original honey,or even some olive oil,olive paste and more..

4th Stop

Mr George's famous creations

Our next stop is just five minutes away from the secret cafe.In the old town of Rethymno, a Venetian mansion houses the workshop of Giorgos Hatziparashos,the last traditional phyllo master making ultra-thin phyllo pastry and kantaifi pastry. Just give it a try!

2nd Stop

There is always a castle in every wonderland

Up to this point, you will be fully informed about the history of our town all the monuments,that we have passed by and the secret local spots you should definitely visit. Now you will be able to continue to Fortezza castle. Fortezza fortress is the largest Venetian castle and shelters the biggest domed structure in Greece.

5th Stop

What about some raki?

Next stop on the menu, a small traditional kafeneio. This inomageirío (wine-and-cooking shop) in a less frequented part of the old town delights with an array of delicacies. Drink home made raki out o f a light bulb,palatable bulk wine – the dáfni has a claimed 2300-year history – or organic beer from the recommendable local Brink's microbrewery. Portions aren’t huge – the emphasis is on quality.
