Step by Step to an unforgettable experience

The setting

We will drive a short distance from the city of Rethymno -or your hotel- to the village of Pigi. A beautiful spacious garden will be the scenery for our cooking class. As we get to know each other you will have the chance to visit our vegetable and herbs garden or enjoy the swimming pool (bring your swimming suit!).

As soon as you feel ready for work mrs.***** will dress you with your apron and will guide you through each of the recipes that you are going to learn. Home-made cheese, ntakos, tzatziki, snails, kalitsounia, lamp, staffed vegetables, greek salad and lihnarakia all cooked to local level perfection by you. Fresh vegetables and herbs from our garden, our family produced olive oil, sheep’s milk and meat are the key ingredients for our experience. Not only you will learn how to transform them into tasty meals but also how to choose the best quality from what is available at your homeland. Roll up your sleeves and get to it!

After preparing all the dishes, lunch follows; we will use a traditional wood-fired oven for cooking our dishes and we will taste everything we have prepared outdoors, in an idyllic setting with a glass of raki and local wine. Let’s savor the wonderful Cretan flavors of traditional cuisine!
