Inotropes Myth
Inotropes was my grandmother’s house in Archanes and I renovated with a lot of love, in 2021. It was a dream to bring the old into the new, combining elegance, warmth and atmospheric details. The Greek myth of the Inotropes (“wine growers” or “wine makers”), that of the three sisters and great granddaughters of the god Dionysus (Ino, Elais, Spermo) begins in Minoan Crete. It is said that the name of the Inotropes came from Dionysus, who, gave to each of his great-granddaughters a unique gift, that is, Ino to make wine, Elais to produce olive oil and Spermo to grow wheat from the soil - the three most precious Greek products constituting the Mediterranean diet.
